“First off, I would defer to my commissioner, and I think it’s unfortunate the governor has overruled her,'' Candelora said Wednesday. “If the commissioner wasn’t ready to release the data, I think we’ve got to respect that and give her time. I can’t recall this kind of a governor overruling a commissioner. In 13 years [in the legislature], I’ve never heard of it.”
