Back-to-school shots by appointment only - WJHG
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG) - If your child needs his or her back-to-school shots from the Bay County Health Department, you will now need to make an appointment.
Health officials say due to the coronavirus COVID-19, all immunization shots will be by appointment only until further notice. They say this is for the community and the staff’s protection.
“Unfortunately, this year we are unable to provide a back to school shot clinic due to COVID-19. We encourage parents to begin making appointments for back to school shots now,” Sandon S. Speedling, MHS, CPM, CPH, Administrator and Health Officer, DOH-Bay, said. “DOH-Bay wants to ensure that we are able to provide the immunizations your child needs to start school and avoid preventable illness.”
Back-to-school shots are free of charge. You can call 850-872-4455 to schedule an appointment if you are getting child vaccines, adult vaccines, religious exemption, immigration vaccines and international travel vaccines.
