FLORENCE – United Way and Marine Corps League of the Shoals is holding registration for Toys for Tots beginning Friday, October 30–November 14. Registration will take place at the Tractor Supply Store parking lot in Muscle Shoals, and the Academy parking lot in Florence. Registration will take place every Friday and Saturday from 8am-12pm by appointment only. Please call 211 to schedule your appointment. Registrants will be required to wear a mask and observe social distancing guidelines. If you have already registered for another Christmas Assistance program, you DO NOT qualify to participate for Toys for Tots. Children over the age of 12 years old do not qualify. BROCKTON – With a goal of immunizing 60 percent of all students in the district during the next five weeks, Brockton Public Schools is teaming up with CVS to offer a drive-up flu clinic in order to prevent twin pandemics from wreaking havoc in the city, as influenza season collides with the coronavirus. Brockton Public Schools announced that it is partnering with CVS to offer a drive-up flu clinic starting on Monday and lasting through Nov. 21, with a plan to provide influenza immunization shots to 9,600 of the nearly 16,000 students in the school district. As the snow fell on Saturday, Saskatchewan residents wound around the parking lot at the Martensville Aquatic Centre to receive flu immunization shots at the Martensville Health and Wellness drive-thru clinic. The outdoor clinic was the brainchild of Dr. Allison Adamus, who normally runs a “shots for tots” clinic designed to make children comfortable while being vaccinated. CCISD: Opportunities for immunization shots for all students - KIIITV.com

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Officials with the Corpus Christi ISD announced that there will be several opportunities for students of all grade levels to receive their immunization shots this month.  CCISD officials said it's an chance for students to avoid being dropped from enrollment due to non-compliance of immunizations. According to the district, students who are not insured or those who have Medicaid or CHIPS will be able to receive their vaccinations at no charge. Students who have insurance will be provided with an order to obtain their immunizations at local pharmacies, school leaders said.  Parents or guardians will need to be present and provide a shot record or a copy of a letter from their campus nurse verifying the immunizations needed.
