SPRINGFIELD – Hometown Urgent Care and Occupational Health, one of Ohio's largest urgent care providers, is excited to announce the opening of its 33rd urgent care center at 1200 Vester Ave., Springfield, on Dec. 2, 2024. This new facility will serve as Hometown's second location in Springfield, offering comprehensive urgent care and occupational health services to the community.

The center will operate seven days a week, with extended hours from 8 a.M. To 7 p.M. On weekdays and 8 a.M. To 5 p.M. On weekends. Hometown Urgent Care accepts all major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid HMOs, ensuring accessible care for all Springfield residents.

The new center will offer comprehensive services that include urgent care, wellness, occupational health, and a specialized Workers' Compensation injury management program, creating a convenient healthcare resource for both families and employers.

Hometown's facilities are equipped to treat all ages including kids. This facility aims to address the increasing demand for high-quality, on-demand, and affordable healthcare within the Springfield community.

Alaska health care giant Providence Health and Services made overtures to the state about taking over management of the troubled Alaska Psychiatric Institute before a lucrative no-bid contract was awarded to Wellpath , a Tennessee-based company that sprouted from the private prison industry, a letter between hospital executives and lawmakers shows.
