The Marietta Wastewater Department will be making a sanitary sewer tap in the 700 block of Glendale Road near the intersection of Glendale Road and Hadley Lane on Monday, weather permitting. There will be no parking on either side of the street and thru traffic will be limited to allow access of equipment and material. Signs will be posted. The work is expected to be completed by Wednesday, however it may extend into the following week.

Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption will hold its holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 506 Fourth St. There will be a sale of holiday cookies and candy, baked goods, holiday gifts and crafts.
There will be a live nativity from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15 at Tunnel United Methodist Church, Ohio 550 and Coffman Road (behind the Warren Volunteer Fire Department). Come out and drive through to enjoy the live animals. Hear Mary and the angel tell the story of the birth of Jesus. Watch the shepherds tend their flocks. Find out when the Wise Men really came. The event is presented by the youth of the church.

There will be no immunization clinic at the Belpre City Health Department, 715 Park Drive, on Friday. The clinic will resume from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 21.
A soup luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Moriah Masonic Hall, 110 Sixth St., Beverly. The suggested donation is $8. Carryout is available by calling 740-984-2826.
The guest speaker at the New Matamoras Library’s Coffee Break program Monday will be Matthew Powell from the Wayne Nation Forest. Matthew’s program “The Trials and Tribulations of Trees” will cover what species are native to the area as well as what insects and diseases have the potential to devastate the forests. The program begins at 10 a.m. in the library’s community room.
