6 p.m. - Decatur County Soil & Water annual meeting at the Knights of St. John Hall. A catered dinner, board election recap of 2018, and a program featuring Rupert Boneham of “Survivor: Pearl Islands” television show. Tickets are $10, RSVP to 812-663-8685 ext. 3.

1 p.m. - Workshop on transferring the family farm to the next generation at the Decatur County Extension Office, 545 S. CR 200 W.

8:30 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. - Children’s immunization clinic at the Decatur County Board of Health. Call 812-663-8301 to schedule an appointment.

Feb. 8

6 p.m. - “Around the World and BAAC Again,” Batesville Area Arts Council’s annual art auction at Walhill Farms. Casual dress, heavy hors d’oeuvres and the chance to gather as a community and dance the night away to Endless Summer Band. Band starts at 8:30 and tickets are $50.

Feb. 9

10 a.m. - I love Trolls! Family Program at the Greensburg - Decatur County Public Library

5 p.m. - Fifth annual “Remembering Rhoades” benefit with all you can eat fried chicken dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. for $10.95 at the Rushville Elks Club. Live auction at 7:30 p.m. with Rusty Harmeyer. Rusty Bladen will provide live music starting at 9 p.m. Those who attend the benefit are asked to bring a non-perishable item to donate to St. Mary’s Food Pantry. Proceeds from the event will benefit Barbie Meyer Lower who is battling liver cancer and patients at the Sheehan Cancer Center at Rush Memorial Hospital.

6 p.m. - “You Art to Be Creating” watercolor class at the Decatur County Greensburg Public Library. GJHS art teacher Jennifer Robbins teaching. Cost is free. Call the library to pre-register at 812-663-2826.

5:30 - Doors open for First Baptist Church of Greensburg’s Valentine dinner benefit to help Brooklyn Stallard and FBC Youth. 6 p.m. - Swearing in ceremony of the Decatur County Republican Women at the Decatur County Republican Headquarters, 105 S. Broadway Street, Greensburg. Suzanne Heinzmann, President of the Indiana Federation of Republican Women will be present. The public is invited to attend. Chili and sandwiches will be served, and the monthly meeting immediately following the swearing-in ceremony.

5 p.m. - YMCA Dinner Program - Ages 18 and under at the Greensburg - Decatur County Public Library

4 p.m. - Library Board of Trustees Meeting at the Greensburg - Decatur County Public Library

1 and 6 p.m. - Pinterest Project of the Month at the Greensburg - Decatur County Public Library

6 p.m. - Dancing With the Stars, theme of ‘70s/Disco, at the Decatur County School Corporation building, 2020 N. Montgomery Road. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dancing begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 or $100 for a table of eight. All proceeds benefit Greensburg Meals on Wheels.

Mar. 7

4 to 7 p.m. - Twelfth annual Greensburg Bread of Life homemade turkey noodle drive-thru dinner at Greensburg Bread of Life, 700 N. Randall Street. March 9

9 a.m. – First annual Crawling for a Cure SIDS 5k Run/Walk in memory of Zander at Ceraland Park in Columbus. Pre-registration is $20 and ends Feb. 28. $25 for those who register the day of the race. Kids 10 and under may participate free, though a youth t-shirt can be purchased for $10. All funds raised will go to the SIDS Foundation. Local high school senior Trevor Conrad is hosting this event as part of this senior project.
