The Syed Scholarship Foundation was honored to select these individuals and help them along with their educational aspirations.  "Our hope is that the students will remember the Syed scholarship they receive and they too will give back to our community or the community they serve in the future.  Dr. Syed contributed so much of his time and resources to the Shoals, it is only fitting that we continue his legacy through these scholarships." board member Jennifer Karr said.  The foundation would like to thank the Shoals community for supporting these scholarships.

A special thank you goes out to Dr. Paul Davis, Dr. Bill Heaton, Dr. Lynn Ridgeway, and Dr. Aaron Karr who helped get the foundation started financially this year.  Shoals Primary Care continues to operate several medical clinics in the area and continue Dr. Syed's legacy of  compassionate health care.  If anyone would like to donate to the Syed Scholarship Foundation they can make out a tax deductable check to the Dr. Syed Scholarship Foundation and send it to PO Box 2234 Muscle Shoals, Al 35661.  More details about the foundation can be found at www.syedschoarshipfoundation.org.
